There are many ways to help those in need during the holidays or with year round donations. Listed below are a few suggestions, both local and global, of ways you can help by donating extra household items, clothing, time and money.

To add a non-profit agency to this list, please send us a brief description in the following format: Who, What they do, What they need.
Send info to

Many residents of Castle Pines are involved in, or have suggested supporting these local charities,  You can research these and other charities at the Colorado Charitable Solicitations Inquiry web site

Castle Rock Community Inter-Church Task Force

416 Jerry St between 4th & 5th St. West of Wilcox St.
303- 688-1114 Suzanne Greene, Executive Director

What they do:
Provides emergency financial assistance for families who are at risk of becoming homeless. They help with rent, utilities, clothing, food, prescription assistance and gas assistance. They will provide temporary hotels for homeless families. They also provide free transportation for families from the Women’s Crisis Center who need to leave the area.
What they need: Clothing and other usable household items for clients and their thrift store. Also, canned goods for their food bank. They are outgrowing their current building and are planning several fund raising events to buy a new building.

The Women's Crisis and Family Outreach Center
www.twcfoc.org or www.thewomenscrisiscenter.org
What they do: Assist women and families affected by violence. They have a 24 hour crisis phone line, an emergency shelter, provide women’s and children’s therapy, legal advocacy and community outreach programs.
What they Need: Cleaning supplies, large containers of hygiene supplies, and gift certificates to Walmart, Target and area grocery stores. If you give a cash donation, 80 – 85% will go directly to the clients in need. Call when you are ready to make your donation - 688-1094.

Castle Pines Village Emergency Services
What they will do:
The TOYS FOR TOTS Program in conjunction with the US Marine Corp Reserve. A FOOD DRIVE in conjunction with the Castle Rock Community Task Force. Both programs will begin in November. Watch Cannel 22 and the Web Site for details.

What they need: New toys and canned goods dropped off at the Village Fitness Center, Emergency Services and any gate.

How else you can help: Castle Pines Village Realty has a year round program benefiting the Women’s Crisis Center by collecting used cell phones. The phones are re-tooled so the Crisis Center’s clients can dial 911 if they are ever feeling threatened or at risk. So far this year Castle Pines Village Realty has collected more than 200 used phones. So, if you have any old phones lying around your house, drop them off at the real estate office and they will be put to a good use!

About Partners

Douglas County Partners, launched in the spring of 2001, is dedicated to helping our youth reduce troublesome behavior and improve self-esteem through one-on-one mentoring Partnerships.

How Partners Works
Boys and girls between the ages of 10-14 are referred to the Douglas County Program from our schools, juvenile diversion, or other human service agencies. These kids want to change and voluntarily participate, with parental or guardian support. Referred to as Junior Partners, the youth is matched with an adult volunteer (Senior Partner) who supports, listens,
models good behavior, participates in joint activities, and cares about them.

Cancer League of Colorado
www.cancerleague.org
Our objective  is to secure the ultimate cure or control of cancer.

We plan to obtain this goal through fundraising.  Our staff is 100%  volunteer, therefore all monies go for research and service within the state of Colorado.   Please join us in our fight.
Your volunteering for special projects and your donations are deeply appreciated.  Click here for info
