The Castle Pines Village Men's Fine Arts
Guild (FAG) is neither Fine, into Arts, nor a Guild. FAG is
all tongue in cheek.
It is a group of 40-50 Village men
who do such erudite things as go to Las Vegas to play golf,
participate in trivia contests once a week (at bars!),
attend movies at Red Rocks, and watch Monday night football
together.
When we tell a restaurant or sports bar we need tables for
the Castle Pines Village Fine Arts Guild, we usually get one
right away (and when they see us usually the ruse is up!).
The reason we ended up in Las Vegas playing golf a couple of
years ago is we sent a Village resident to get us a bunch of
inexpensive tickets to go to London to do a pub crawl one
weekend. The "special" was sold out, so he booked us to the
"anti-London" where he said we could see all of Europe on
one street!!
