Castle Pines Village is a gated community. You MUST call Dispatch at 303-688-6447 to give clearance to any guests or service personnel prior to their arrival. Calling in advance allows them prompt access to your home. Access may be denied if you fail to contact us and we are unable to contact you upon their arrival.
Gate clearance options include:
- Clearance per visit
- Clearance for duration of service
- Permanent clearance (a list of family/guests to be entered into permanent database
Non-frequent visitors must be called in to dispatch to be entered for the day or days of their visit. ES recommends calling visitors in as soon as you know when they are coming, even several days in advance. Please keep in mind that information is stored under your address so it is easier for the gate officer and quicker for your guest if they know your address.
The adherence to this system is very important to maintain the security and safety of the Village.
NEW Gate Access Transponders are now available!
SALES HOURS:
Monday—Friday 2 pm to 6 pm
1st & 3rd Saturday 12 pm to 4 pm
$35 EACH—CASH OR CHECK ONLY
Come to the Emergency Services window in the CPHA building.
Each vehicle must be brought to ES for registration. ES personnel will install the new transponder(s) on your vehicle(s) and test that they are working properly. You will also be required to update your personal information that is on file.
The current “passive” system is being replaced with a new “active” system which utilizes a battery and is placed on the windshield of your car. This new system is being phased in with the goal of being fully implemented by September, at which time the current transponders and access cards will no longer be used for gate entry. The access cards can still be used for access to the fitness center.
The new transponders will be available to residents on vehicles that are registered to their residence. In addition, residents may purchase new transponders for their immediate family members; such as children and parents. Transponders will not be available for guests, maids, landscapers, etc. Homeowners can opt not to purchase a new transponder for their vehicle. Resident vehicles can still be identified by the resident sticker on the driver's side of the windshield. they are available free of charge from ES; however, vehicles with a resident sticker only and no access transponder must enter the community through a staffed gate in the visitor lane.

New Gate Entry Procedures for Visitors-Effective Monday, March 16th
Beginning on Monday, March 16, 2009 the following new Access Control procedure for Visitor entry into the Village will go into effect:
All guests to include visitors, contractors, service providers and deliveries must access the Village through a staffed gate unless they have a pin number. Homeowners may contact ES dispatch at 303-688-6447 to request a one-time-use, five digit pin number for their guest(s). This pin number will work one time only, at all of the gates, and at any time during that calendar day. The pin number will become ineffective at midnight on the day it was requested. Please instruct your guest(s) to enter the pin number at the key pad--which consists of 4 numbers and the pound sign (#).
The enhanced access control procedures will be continually evaluated by the Emergency Services Committee and Board of Directors. Please provide feedback to Chief of ES Drew Grant or Access Control Supervisor Ken Graham at 303-688-6447, or Mark Larson, General Manager at 303-814-1345, or any Emergency Services Committee Member or Board Member. You can also provide comments by e-mail to esadmin@castlepinesvillage.org
Frequently Asked Questions about the Pin Number System & Gate Access
I live right inside Gate 5. How do I get a pizza delivered to my house without sending the delivery guy all the way to Gate One?
For a food delivery to your home, call dispatch and a pin number can be provided to you within minutes and activated at the time of your call. Then simply call the restaurant and provide the address for delivery along with the 4-digit pin number for the delivery driver; make sure to let them know to enter the pin number at the key pad and then press the pound (#) sign.
My Housekeeper (or Nanny or Babysitter) comes to my house several times a week and we live right inside Gate 2 where should he/she enter?
All visitors including service providers must either enter through a staffed gate, for homes on the south side of Happy Canyon this would be Gate 4. If this individual comes frequently please take a moment to update your permanent guest list with ES to include this person so that they are in our system and can get quick entry from the gate officer at Gate 4. To update your standing guest list call ES at 303-688-6447. You can also call ES to get a one time use pin number. Access cards are not sold to non-residents.
I am having a party. Can I get one pin number for all of my guests to use?
Absolutely! And it only takes a few minutes by phone. We recommend that you call the ES Administrator Emily Ostby several days or weeks in advance of your event. Consider putting the pin number on your party invitation with instructions on how to enter the pin number at the gate. This pin number will only be good on the day of your event and will expire at midnight. Emily can be reached at 303-952-0924, Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm or by email to esadmin@castlepinesvillage.org
My house is hard to find from Gate One (North) and Gate four (South). Will the gate officer provide directions to my home?
We have upgraded the quality of maps that that the gate officers will use to provide directions to guests. Call ES Dispatch to provide your guest with a four digit pin number that they can use to access the Village through any gate whether it is staffed or not.
