Recycling is picked up every other week, on either Monday or Tuesday depending on what schedule you are on. Residents may pick up two, free recycling containers at the CPHA office. Please visit reception to sign them out. Recycling must also be out no earlier than 5 am and no later than 7 am--same as for trash. WM uses a single-stream recycling process so everything can go together in the same recycling bin; recycled items do not have to separated. Recyclable items and Recycling Calendar
Going out of town?
If you are leaving town or you miss your scheduled trash pickup, the CPHA has a dumpster available in the back of the building to accept trash bags only. You may bring up to FOUR trash bags. The following items are NOT allowed in the dumpster: non-bagged trash, cardboard boxes filled with trash, appliances, furniture or any other large household or commercial item. All garbage must be bagged. Please note that this option is to assist residents that are leaving town so they don’t have to store garbage in their garage, so we kindly ask that you not use this dumpster to dump trash from your holiday party as it is a small dumpster and cannot hold large amounts of garbage. Did your trash and/or recycling not get picked up on your scheduled day?
Please make sure to have your garbage out by 7 am sharp as the trucks enter the Village promptly at 7 am. WM typically completes all pickups in the Village by noon or earlier, however situations may occur that will create either a delay or a missed pick up. If your garbage and/or recycling are still out at the end of the day (after 3 pm) please contact the CPHA office at 303.814.1345. On heavy garbage days, such as after a holiday, the trucks may need to leave the Village to dump their hopper and then return; this may result in your garbage being out on the curb longer than usual. If a truck breaks down or there is a heavy snow day this will also create pickup delays. The WM trucks are equipped with GPS so that WM can determine what time they were at your residence or where they are in the Village.
